Trust Your Guts and Walk Away

 

I swiped my card to enter the subway and the gate closed on me as I walked through. This meant my card was out of money. I only had 2,000 won (the equivalent of $2) on me and I hoped that was enough to get me home. I walked over to the card loading station and added 1 of my $2 to my subway card and turned around to find myself face to face with a man in his late 40’s.

2015 Look Back

2015 was the craziest year of my life so far! It held some of my highest highs, some of my lowest lows, some profound moments of growth, some mistakes, and a lot of laughs! If It Doesn’t Challenge Me, It Doesn’t Change Me. Getting On The Plane.

Edward stood at the edge of the pool. With flaming red hair and big blue eyes full of fear. I was waiting in the water trying to convince this four year old boy to make the leap. “1,2,3.. Jump!” I said optimistically. His fists clenched but he didn’t move. “3,2,1…Jump!” I tried again with the same enthusiasm and the same result. I wasn’t giving up, this kid was going to jump into the baby pool if it took all day (or the better part of half an hour).
